Our Core Beliefs

We Believe:

1. The Bible, both the Old and New Testament come from God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and His Word (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:21)

2. The Godhead is a trinity: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19, 3:16-17)

3. Sin entered the human race through Adam’s disobedience. This is referred to as the Fall of Man (Rom 5:12-14, 3:23)

4. Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the Cross of Calvary (Eph 2:8, 1:7, Acts 4:12, Rom 10:13-15, John 3:16)

5. The Church is made up of the redeemed of all ages and referred to in Scripture as the Body of Christ, Christ Jesus Himself being the Head (Eph 1:22-23, 19-21)

6. Christians must live a Holy Life(Heb 12:14, Eph 4:11-13)

7. Water baptism is a direct command of Jesus and is to be done by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19, Rom 6:4)

8. That those who have been born again can ask for and receive theBaptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8, 2:38-39, Acts 2:4)

9. That divine healing was provided by Jesus’ suffering and death on the Cross and is available to all who believe (Is 53:5, 1 Pet 2:24, Mark 16:18, James 5:14-15)

10. The second coming of Christ shall take place in two stages (Thess 4:16-17, Matt 24:21, Rev 20:6, Is 9:7)

11. The wicked will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgement. Those who have not trusted in Christ for salvation will live forever in everlasting torment and fire (2 Pet 2:9, Heb 9:27, Rev 21:8)

12. The tithe (one-tenth of the increase) is holy and belongs to the Lord (Lev 27:30, Mal 3:10, 1 Cor 16:1-2)

13. The Lord’s Supper, the Pentecostal Churches of God celebrate the Lord’s Supper (or communion) in remembrance of Christ (1 Cor 11:25)
